CAAFI Webinar Series

Webinar Description: Synthetic Aviation Turbine Fuels (SATF) provide alternatives to addressing the challenges of using traditional, petroleum-based jet fuel (e.g., air quality, carbon footprint, energy security). One seemingly attractive pathway for producing SATF is using feedstocks that are abundant yet otherwise problematic for society, such as various waste streams. However, production of SATF from waste streams has yet to significantly advance. This webinar presents the potential opportunities for waste-to-SATF pathways, as well as the challenges to doing so.

CAAFI webinars are intended to provide a forum for members of the SAF community to discuss progress and related gaps and challenges, share lessons learned, methodologies, and strategies in order to promote communication among stakeholders and enable commercialization of SAF.
