Aviation Groups Encourage Increase in Alternative Fuels Program

November 18, 2021 —Six aviation groups have come together to ask the leadership of the Appropriations Committee and Transportation, Housing and Urban Development and Related Agencies (THUD) subcommittees in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives to increase funding for the Alternative Fuels for General Aviation program. This program enables the engineering, technical, and management support for fuel research and safety certification activities to identify and secure approvals necessary for the deployment of aviation fuel and safety. The group believes the fuels testing program is at a critical juncture and needs additional funding to continue.

The letter from the groups to Congress can be found here.
