March 3,, 2021 — Finland’s air navigation service (ANS) provider, Fintraffic ANS, and Finnair have partnered to reduce CO2 emissions and improve commercial aviation’s environmental footprint. With this new collaboration, Finnair will share fuel consumption information with Fintraffic ANS and they will explore how to support airlines in their task of meeting lower emissions targets. The next phase of their plan will be partnering with Neste to use sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at Finnair’s home airport, Helsinki Airport.
