November 19, 2019 – All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s largest airline, received its latest Boeing passenger aircraft via delivery fueled by sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). The new Boeing 777-300 ER was flown from Boeing’s facility in Everett, Washington to Japan utilizing LanzaTech’s SAF made from waste gas derived ethanol. ANA has signed an offtake agreement with LanzaTech for a consistent SAF supply starting in 2021.
